Our brother in Christ, Nicholas Sasuta, passed quietly from this life yesterday afternoon surrounded by his loving wife Mary and their children and grandchildren, the prayers of the saints, and the hymns of the church.
A liturgy of the resurrection and rite for burial of the dead is scheduled for this coming Monday, February 18th, 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, preceded by a time of lying in state beginning at 9:30 a.m. Visitation hours are Sunday, February 17th, 3 to 8 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 West 31st Street in Brookfield. Internment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
Please share this information with others who may not have access to electronic communication. And I ask that you keep Nick’s family in your prayers during these days of mourning, especially Mary, Susan, Nancy, Jim, Janet and their spouses and families. May the hope of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ be kindled anew in their hearts and lives that they and we may have peace and strength to meet the days ahead with a sure and certain hope of the resurrection.
