Dennis Lauritsen, Pastor

The Rev. Dennis J. Lauritsen has served as pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul since January, 2001. Ordained in 1983, Pr. Lauritsen has served two previous parishes in the city of Chicago, Bethel Lutheran Church of Humboldt Park (1983-91) and Lake View Lutheran Church (1991-99).

Pr. Lauritsen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Social Sciences from Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa. He earned the Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota, and in June, 1999 was awarded a Master of Theology degree in Biblical Studies from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago where is a Ph.D. candidate in New Testament.

Pr. Lauritsen lives in Riverside with his wife, Jane, and their three children, Samuel, Isaac and Olivia.
