It’s For Life

Lord Jesus,
I give you my hands to do your work.
I give you my feet to go your way.
I give you my eyes to see as you do.
I give you my tongue to speak your words.
I give you my mind that you may think in me.
I give you my spirit that you may pray in me.
Above all, I give you my heart that you may love in me
I give you my whole self that you may grow in me,
So that it is you Lord Jesus, who live and work and pray in me.
Amen

Our Sunday school continues to grow in faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ. Classes begin with music before attending their age appropriate classrooms. We are using the curriculum,“Feasting on the Word,” and supplement this with videos, craft projects, games and themed snacks. Children are encouraged to participate in worship services with activities such as children’s sermons, skits, music, puppet presentations and special celebrations. Both the Children’s and Youth Choirs perform on designated Sundays throughout the year at the 10:15 a.m. liturgy.

Sunday Morning Schedule:

This instruction typically begins at 7th grade and emphasizes the study of the Scriptures and Christian foundations as taught in Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, including the Creed, Ten Commandments, Lord’s Prayer, Holy Baptism, Holy Communion, Confession and Absolution, as well as worship and service. Confirmation is usually a two-year program culminating in the Rite for Affirmation of Baptism on Reformation Sunday in October.
